Dr Pepper Game Of The Week - KAUZ-TV: Newschannel 6 Now | Wichita Falls, TX

Dr Pepper Game Of The Week

Our first Dr Pepper Game Of The Week is Rider vs. Abilene Cooper!

The Raiders are starting the season with a tough schedule once again, playing three 5A schools in their first four games. Cooper topped Rider 40-21 in Abilene to open the 2010 season.

Rider plays those same three teams this season: Abilene Cooper, Amarillo and Lubbock Coronado. The Raiders went 0-3 in those games last year, but have two of the matchups at home this season.

In the end, the tough start might have benefited the Raiders last season, as Rider went 5-1 in district play to end the season and won three playoffs before losing in the state quarterfinals.

Make sure to check back here to hear from Rider about the Game Of The Week daily, all the way until kickoff Friday.
