Man Arrested For DWI And Pot Possession Near Market Street

Several of our viewers and Facebook friends alerted Newschannel 6 to a chaotic scene at United Market Street on Fairway and Kell Wednesday night, and we worked to get answers.

The Wichita Falls Police Department told Newschannel 6 around 5 PM, 61-year-old Don Ikard was driving a pick-up and struck another car while trying to leave the supermarket parking lot. Police said Ikard continued to drive down the street before stopping under the overpass for police. They said he did not resist arrest. They also said they found 12 baggies of pot in Ikard's front pant's pockets.

Police said Ikard also failed a field sobriety test, and he was arrested for both DWI and Possession of Marijuana. He has been taken to the Wichita County Jail.
