Texas Soldier Dies In Afghanistan

FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. (AP) - A Fort Campbell soldier has been killed in combat in Afghanistan.  The Department of Defense identified him as 23-year-old Spc. Michael C. Roberts of Watauga, Texas.
     

Officials said Roberts died Saturday in Kandahar when insurgents attacked his unit using an improvised explosive device.  Roberts was assigned to the 561st Military Police Company, 716th Military Police Battalion, 101st Sustainment Brigade which is based at Fort Campbell, Ky.
