Wichita Falls ISD Approves Tax Rate Increase

Wichita Falls Independent School District Board of Regents approved a half cent tax rate increase Monday evening.

The board voted to approve a $128 million budget that has seen several forms since creation. Most of that was due to the uncertainty of what the Texas legislature was going to do.

They ended up slashing $4 billion in state funding to schools, forcing many to raise taxes to make ends meet.
