Republicans Say They Want Something New From Obama On Jobs

President Barack Obama is expected make a renewed call for payroll tax cuts and jobless benefits along with spending on infrastructure when he delivers his jobs speech to
Congress tonight.

But Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell says Republicans have heard all that before. McConnell says he'd like the president to take a different approach in tonight's speech, but he says Republicans will "listen politely to what he has to say."

Republicans have been calling for the elimination of regulations they say are limiting the private sector. They point to last week's scrapping of new regulations on smog as a step in the right

House Speaker John Boehner does plan to give his own speech on the economy and jobs next week.
