Museum Day 2011

Texomans spent Saturday learning about the history, art and culture of our area. Ten museums and one historic site opened its doors for free during the annual Museum Day. From the Railroad Museum to the Riverbend Nature Center and the Riverside Cemetery, people hopped on and off the trolley for a truly wonderful experience.

"I'm glad that I'm having this mother/daughter day with my mom and we are here seeing the trains and we just saw this Indian Museum and its really cool to be out here," said Lauren Foley.

"While we were here a big 'ole train was going somewhere and he blew his horn and we just have a lot of interesting places here in Wichita Falls," said Fannie Smith.

This event happens every year in September and its always free. If you couldn't make it out this year stay tuned for next fall.
