The Girl Scouts is celebrating its 100 year anniversary and the organization is looking for young girls to be a part of the celebration. Saturday morning those a part of the scouts were at Southern Hills Elementary passing out flyers to parents. Those involved in the special organization say come March a big 100 year celebration will take place to honor the legacy.
"We are going into the 100th year of Girl Scouts so we are going to make it just a great year with a lot of exciting things and the girls always have a lot of opportunities. In the community they do a lot of fun things with their troops and they have a lot of opportunities to learn leadership skills that will carry them throughout life," said Scout Membership Specialist, Sherrie Scott.
