Windthorst Drops to #10 in AP Poll

The Week 2 Texas AP high school football poll came out Monday, but it was not a good poll for Texoma teams.

The area's only ranked team, the Windthorst Trojans, fell from #9 to #10 despite a blowout win over Olney Friday night.

They'll play in our Dr Pepper Game of the Week Friday night at Seymour.

But there are no other Texoma teams even receiving votes this week.

Munday lost their 2 votes even though they beat Class 2A Tuscola Jim Ned by 20 on the road.

Holliday lost their 6 votes despite a road win at 3A Iowa Park in our Game of the Week last Friday.

Rider also fell out of the "Received Votes" category after a close loss at Amarillo HS.
