Update: Suspect Accused of Assaulting 2 in Their Sleep Arrested

Wichita County Sheriff's Deputies have tracked down a suspect they say attacked two people while they were sleeping in a home in Iowa Park.

At 7:30 Tuesday morning, deputies responded to the 1900 block of Bailey Road in reference to an assault. They found a 28-year-ol male with severe head injuries. He was transported to United Regional Health Care Center by American Medical Response.

Deputies say the man had been assaulted in the 300 block of East Ruby in Iowa Park around 6:00 a.m. A 25-year-old female was also assaulted. She was taken to United Regional with minor injuries.

The victims tell deputies the suspect forced his way into the home while they were sleeping.

Deputies say the suspect has a lengthy criminal history and knew both victims.

The Wichita County Sheriff's Criminal Investigation Division obtained warrants for two counts of Burglary of a Habitation and Retaliation.

At 3:09 p.m. the Wichita County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Division located the suspect in the 3700 block of Callfield Road. 27-year-old Brian Randolph Young male was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and charged with two counts of Burglary of a Habitation and one count of Retaliation. Bond was set at $100,000.00 for each count, a total of $300,000.00.
