Notre Dame's McElroy Wins Player of the Week!

Notre Dame running back Cody McElroy took home the Newschannel 6 Player of the Week award for Week 2.

McElroy rushed for 295 yards on 17 carries and scored six touchdowns for the Knights against Harrold.

He edged out his cousin, Seymour backup quarterback Tanner Gillispie, who totaled 290 yards of offense and five touchdowns for the Panthers against Collinsville.

Other nominees were Windthorst quarterback Joe Hoegger and Nocona quarterback Hayden Hill.
