MSU Ready for Lone Star Football Festival

This week, the big games don't stop Friday. There will be three big games Saturday at the Lone Star Football Festival at Cowboys Stadium, featuring three of the top five team in the nation in Division II.

The Midwestern State Mustangs will play their conference opener against Texas A&M-Commerce Saturday in the first of a triple-header at "Jerry's World."

Following MSU and Commerce, #3 Abilene Christian will face #4 North Alabama in a marquee inter-sectional matchup, then in another Lone Star Conference game, West Texas A&M will face #5 Texas A&M-Kingsville.

The Mustangs will be heading down Friday and practicing under the giant screen to try to get the "awe" factor out of the way early.

Head coach Bill Maskill made it clear Thursday, "We're not playing the stadium, we're playing Texas A&M-Commerce. We've got to get ready to go and play them, and not be ready to go in the stadium and enjoy the atmosphere."

You can hear all the action at 100.9 FM, with Bill Powers and Newschannel 6's Chris Horgen on the call, and you can see all of the highlights in High-Definition Saturday night on Newschannel 6!
