Update: Wichitan Collides with Police Car in Attempted Get Away

A 20-year-old man has been no billed by a Wichita County Grand Jury, after being under arrest and charged with many offenses after trying to speed away from police on the 1500 block of Southwest Parkway.

Calin Dray Harris was charged with driving while intoxicated, evading arrest/detention with vehicle, aggravated assault on a peace officer, attempted aggravated assault on a peace officer and resisting arrest/search/detention.

Officials say they observed Harris speeding. When officers pursued, they say Harris attempted to flee; as he was fleeing he struck the pursuing officer's vehicle twice before he was stopped at the intersection of Galveston and East Scott. Afterwards, he was placed under arrest and the Wichita County Detention Center.

The Wichita County Grand Jury no billed Harris on the charges of attempted aggravated assault on a public servant and aggravated assault on a public servant.
