Hirschi to Host Elite 14 Tournament

The Hirschi High School Athletic Department is hosting the 6th annual ELITE 14 Basketball Tournament on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at the Hirschi IB Gymnasiums and Kirby IB  Gymnasium. 
It is an all day event promising spectators some of the best high school basketball around. 
The Huskies will be joined by 13 other teams from Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas, many of them the top teams in their district, state, and even the nation.
Several players who will be in attendance are highly ranked by national collegiate scouting services.
 
The cost is $5 for students and adults, and the event is sponsored by Jerry's Scoreboard Sporting Goods, Union Square Bank, Wichita Clutch, and Bobby Evans Sporting Goods.
 
This tournament is a fundraiser for the Hirschi Athletic Department, and also serves as a concession fundraiser for the Kirby Booster Club and HHS Booster Club.

    A six-run seventh inning lifted No. 12 West Texas A&M to a series sweep of Midwestern State Sunday afternoon at Schaeffer Park with the Lady Buffs scoring the winning run on a throwing error in the infield to rally from a five-run deficit in the final frame for a 9-8 victory.
