W.F. Residents Upset About Lack Of Businesses On The East Side

Some Wichita Falls residents had a lot to say Tuesday night during a town hall meeting.

District 2 Councilwoman Annetta Pope-Dotson attended the town hall to hear what residents and Mayor Glenn Barham had on their minds.

Residents living on the East Side say they want to see businesses in the area.

Mayor Barham understands saying "every councilor to a member, all seven of us, stressed grocery store on the east side. We've got to have it on the east side."

Barham also said the city can't force a business to open in any certain location.

The next town hall meetings will be in District 4 in early November.
