Dr Pepper Game of the Week, Week 5

The Wichita Falls Coyotes return home for their District 4-4A home opener in our Dr Pepper Game of the Week for week five.

They'll host the Denton Broncos Friday night at 7 p.m. at Memorial Stadium.

The Coyotes earned their lone district win of 2010 against the Broncos in Denton, and hope to get the first of many in 2011 against the same team.

The Old High offense has performed well so far in 2011, averaging 26 points per game, but the defense has been up-and-down thus far.

The Coyotes recorded their first shutout since 2004 against previously-unbeaten Dallas Bishop Lynch, but just seven days earlier they allowed 70 points to Frisco Wakeland.

They hope to be much closer to their performance against Lynch when they take the field Friday night.

Tune in to Newschannel6 at 6 and 10 and check back at Newschannel6now.com to hear the Coyotes talk about our Dr Pepper Game Of The Week!
