Child Found Walking Alone On The Streets

Wichita Falls police arrested a 24 year old woman they say left her child home alone.

Police received word of a small child walking in the roadway alone in the area of North 8th and Louis Esuibel on September 9th.

Police say a woman saw the 3 year old walking alone and crying.

Police say a vehicle then pulled up and a woman got out claiming that the child was her's.

Officers say Rona Crandall told them she left her son alone at home while she took her other son to school.

Crandall says she left her son in bed because he was tired and that she locked him inside the house and didn't think he knew how to unlock doors.

Crandall was arrested and charged with Abandoning/Endangering a Child.
