Free Compost Giveaway

Plenty of people came out to the Wichita Falls landfill to pick up your free compost courtesy of the city. For several hours city workers were loading up trucks. It was only for those who participate in the curbside recycling program which is a $3 charge. Those who are a part of the program say its worth it especially since you can get free compost.

"We have a farm where Jerry lives out close to the Red River it backs up to the Red River that's all sand so we need compost to make everything grow," said Celia Mosely. Compost helps to contain nutrients in the soil where plants can benefit from it.
