UPDATE: Cause Determined On Rollover Accident On Highway 287

Newschannel 6 received new information on the rollover accident on U.S. 287.

Law enforcement officials said the driver fell asleep at the wheel, causing him to lose control.

The accident happened just after 3:00p.m. Sunday on Northbound 287 in between Jolly and Henrietta.

DPS Troopers on scene said the driver of a Jeep Grand Cherokee swerved off the road causing the vehicle to flip and then land upside down.

Troopers say the driver was transported to the hospital with non life threatening injuries.

Troopers say the man was not under the influence while driving nor was he driving recklessly.
