Iowa Park's Garrett Davis is the Home Zone Player of the Week!

Iowa Park's Garrett Davis took home the Week 6 Home Zone Player of the Week Award, taking over 60% of the online vote!

Davis ran for 187 yards and two touchdowns in Iowa Park's win at Hirschi, the first victory of the year for the Hawks.

He outpaced three other worthy nominees:

DJ Brown, City View (16 car, 241 yds, 4 TDs rushing)

Devin Chafin, Burkburnett (17 car, 176 yds, 2 TDs rushing; 55-yd TD catch)

Dee Paul, Munday (7 car, 174 yds, 3 TDs rushing; 3/6, 76 yds, TD)

Davis joins Brown, who was the Zero Week winner, along with Henrietta's Kolten Booher, Notre Dame's Cody McElroy, Windthorst's Chase Schreiber, Olney's Alex Vega and Old High's Dylan Sheffield as winners this season.

After this Friday's games, remember to nominate who you think should be up for next week's award, by emailing us at Sports@kauz.com!
