Lake Levels Continue To Rise

Even though we haven't had any recent rain, lake levels are up for the second time in the past five days.
Current levels are at a combined 55.8%, which keeps the City of Wichita Falls in the Stage One: Drought Watch.
The Water Restrictions Hotline is still in operation for citizen questions or reporting watering violations. The hotline number is (940)761-7477, and it's answered Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Year round restrictions are as follows, outside watering can be done using either an automatic or manual sprinkler system only during the hours from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 a.m. No sprinklers may be used from 11:00 a.m. through 6:00 p.m.
Hand watering can be done anytime, but the hose must have an attachment with a shut off valve as well as any other watering device that is used. If and when lake levels fall to a combined 50% the city will go into Stage Two: Drought Warning. At that time water restrictions will be mandatory.
