Update:I-44 Reopens After Wreck

Update:  The accident, which involved  a green Camaro and a Dale Construction Company work truck, happened around 8am this morning. The truck  had gravel in its bed which was strewn across the Northbound lanes of Central Freeway, where the accident happened, just past the 6th street exit.

DPS Troopers and the WFPD were on-site to direct and block traffic, investigate, and clean-up. TxDOT was called in to clean up the gravel.

The accident shut down three lanes of I-44.

Our crews on the scene say none of those involved was taken to the hospital.
