Cross Country Stays Steady at #12 in USTFCCCA Top 25

Midwestern State retained its No. 12 ranking in the latest United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches' Association Division II rankings released Wednesday morning.

Grand Valley State (Mich.) and Chico State (Calif.) swapped places at Nos. 2 and 4, while Mansfield (Pa.) and Lock Haven (Pa.) did the same trick at Nos. 21 and 23, respectively. Those were the only changes in the poll.

Midwestern State was idle last week as the Mustangs prepared for a run at their fourth consecutive Lone Star Conference championship, which is set for Saturday morning at Red Arroyo Park in San Angelo, Texas with a 9:30 a.m. start time.

The Mustangs top a group of six teams from the South Central Region in the poll which also includes No. 13 Harding (Ark.), No. 15 Pittsburg State (Kan.), No. 20 Missouri Southern, No. 22 Truman State (Mo.) and No. 25 Northwest Missouri.
