Wichita Falls residents had their chance to voice their concerns about the new TIF Zone #4.
The city of Wichita Falls Planning Division and Citizens Advisory Committee led the public meeting Monday night.
They said the primary goal is to create a reinvestment zone for continued growth, employment, residential activity and economic development.
The funds generated within the downtown TIF Zone over the projected 20-year life span will be utilized for both public infrastructure reinvestments along with public-private redevelopment opportunities.
TIF Zone #4 is replacing the expired TIF Zone #1. Two additional public meetings are scheduled before the end of the year.
The first is Monday, November 21st at the Wichita County Courthouse, 900 7th Street, in the Commissioners Courtroom, beginning 10:am.
The second meeting is Tuesday, December 6th, in Memorial Auditorium, 1300 7th Street, during the regularly scheduled City Council meeting, located in the Council Chambers, beginning at 8:30am.
