Texoma Man Pleads Guilty To Attempted Assault

A Texoma man was sentenced Thursday after pleading guilty to an attempted assault-impeding breathing charge.

Erik Hernandez was sentenced to serve two years in state jail.

Police say he went to a home in the 500 block of Carolina in October 2009 and got into an argument with a resident about money.

Police say the resident shot Hernandez when he tried to force his way into the residence home and threatened the victim's family.
