Officers Provide Free VIN Etching

The Wichita Falls Police Department's Crime Free Unit wants to make sure citizens are safe. Officers providing free VIN etching to citizens and allowed residents to take advantage of their shredding machine. The Wichita Falls Sheriff's Office was also on hand helping the officers and had several units on display. It was held from 10am until 1pm at Nissan of Wichita Falls off Kell Blvd.

"We just encourage all the citizens to come out and take advantage of it, the are also doing VIN etching on vehicles and in addition to that they can pick up a lot of good information," said Deputy Melvin Joyner.
