LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) - A prosecutor says the doctor at the center of a retaliation case against two nurses charged with felonies for reporting him to state regulators is scheduled to plead guilty.
Dr. Rolando G. Arafiles Jr. will plead guilty Monday in Kermit under an agreement with prosecutors.
Prosecutor David Glickler declined to say what charges Arafiles will plead guilty to or discuss the sentence.
Arafiles, is charged with two counts each of felony misuse of official information and retaliation. He did not return a call seeking comment.
One nurse was acquitted at trial. Charges were dropped against the other.
Two other former Winkler County officials were found guilty of retaliating against the nurses.
