Texoma Father To Spend Two Months In Jail, Indicted On Abandoning A Child

A Wichita County judged amended a Texoma father's ten year probation.

Juan Carlos Gutierrez will be required to take some classes and report once a week instead of once a month and spend 60 days in jail.

Gutierrez was indicted on two counts of Abandoning/Endangering a Child. He is accused of leaving his two children home alone while he ran errands.

Police arrested Gutierrez after finding his four year old playing outside near a busy street. Police said they found his two year old asleep in the house. Police said Gutierrez admitted he had been gone for more than an hour.
