#25 Lady Bulldogs Win Opener at WFHS

The #25 Burkburnett Lady Bulldogs opened their season with a 61-52 win over Wichita Falls High School Thursday night at Coyote Fieldhouse in Wichita Falls.

Macy Cooke led the Lady Bulldogs with 15 points, while Hailley Land added 13 more.

Alexis Box of Old High led all scorers with 17 points, while sophomore Sarah Eakin scored 13 in her varsity basketball debut.

The Lady Coyotes (0-1) will be back in action Saturday night at home against Mineral Wells.

The Lady Bulldogs (1-0) will host Rider (1-0) Tuesday night at 6 p.m. in Burkburnett.
