House Fire Kills 2 in West Texas

Investigators say the cause of a house fire that killed two people in West Texas house fire was caused by a stove used to heat the home.

Howard County Sheriff's Office says four people safely escaped from the burning home in Coahoma, about 50 miles southeast of Lubbock.

Volunteer fire Chief Tommy Sullivan said the early Sunday blaze was caused by a gas stove used to heat the home.

The victims of the fire were 60-year-old Petra Arguello and 9-year-old Jacob Arguello.

Autopsies have been ordered.
