Mick Baldys from the USGS-Texas says obstructions in the river, increased vegetation, and canals that could be deepened could help with flooding issues.

Solutions to help lower the Wichita River include cutting vegetation around the river by 20%, deepening canals and removing obstructions, such as dirt and tree branches.
