More than a dozen bikers revved up their engines for a good cause Saturday morning. The Ride for the Children's Home kicked off at 11am, riders traveled to Vernon and back. And before they took off, the group donated gifts to the children's home.
"Somebody gave us the opportunity to come out and actually do something fun and give back to somebody. We have been really blessed this year and we wanted to be able to give back and just have fun with it," said Jared Golden. "It benefits these children, it benefits the home to take care of the children and it keeps everybody kind of happy," said one gentleman with who participated in the ride. The cost was $20 a bike and $25 for a couple, all the money went back in to the hands of the children's home and teen emergency shelter.
