Police Believe Remains Those Of Oklahoma Woman

TULSA, Okla. (AP) - Tulsa police say remains found in a sport utility vehicle submerged in a retention pond are those of a woman who disappeared in 2006.

Medical examiners confirmed the body discovered Oct. 28 is Sheila Sharp.

The SUV was removed from the pond three days after a dog walking in the area with its owner found a foot inside a woman's left shoe.

Sharp's daughter reported her missing when she didn't return home on Feb. 14, 2006.

Sgt. Dave Walker says investigators suspect Sharp's death was a homicide, and are asking anyone with any information about her disappearance to come forward.
