Black Friday Gives Local Furniture Sales A Boost

Black Friday made for a busy day at Texoma furniture stores.  Managers at Ashley Furniture Homestore tell Newschannel 6 customers were flocking in after red hot deals. They also say nearly 300 people were waiting outside as the doors opened at 7 a.m.  Ashley Furniture Homestore manager Michael Covington said he thinks the lines were a good sign.

"It means to us is that the economy is doing well, and things are good in Wichita Falls. That's what we like to see."

News channel six also spoke with managers at Hamilton Bryan. They said they also saw an increase in customers adding deeply discounted recliners and memory foam pillows brought many shoppers through the door.
