Now Hiring in Texoma

Right now, hundreds of positions are looking to be filled in Texoma. The biggest company hiring is WDS Global. The call center provides inbound customer service for a large wireless phone company. The staff is currently around 400 strong, and Site Director Jack Kozeny said they are looking to add between 300-400 more positions immediately.

He said he hopes to fill the spots quickly. "Right now we are looking for agents and as we hire more agents we will be promoting people from within to supervisory positions," he said. The positions have a starting pay of $8.75/hr plus bonuses, and after 90 days that jumps to $9.00/hr.

The call center is not the only place hiring. Cameron Solutions in Electra is looking to hire between 15-30 flux-core welders. The skilled labor positions will be used in the manufacturing process.

As we reported earlier this month, an influx of new restaurants and those that are expanding are creating more than 100 new jobs.

To stay on top of jobs that are available, Bill Scantlin with Workforce Solutions said job seekers need to be vigilant. "We tell people to register with WorkInTexas.com as job seeker. There is an announcement icon on home page. Click on that it will tell them if there are hiring events or expos they can attend," he said.

Scantlin said there are 250 postings in the Wichita Falls area at the moment. He said many of the postings are for multiple vacancies.

Scantlin said job seekers need to check the web site often, because postings change daily.
