Rider High School Collects Donations for Trip to England

The Rider High School Band is preparing for it's trip to perform for Her Majesty the Queen of England, in the London, in A New Year's Day Parade and Gala Concert.
Rider is the only Texas band invited to perform in the celebration of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee and the opening cultural event of the London 2012 Olympics.
However organizers say students still need help with funding.
The kids have raised over $400,000 but they lack $40,000.
On Wednesday the Rider Band Hall was opened ,and a parking area near Chili's Bar & Grill was full of Rider representatives, in an effort to 'Fill Up The Drum' with donations from the community.
Students are still collecting donations. If you would like to help send the students to London you're asked to contact the school at (940) 235-1077.
