Wildcats Return from Long Road Swing

The Wichita Falls Wildcats finally return home from their long road trip Friday night when they start a two-game series against the Texas Tornado.

They'll play the Tornado again Saturday night, then host the Amarillo Bulls Monday. Those are the final home games of 2011 for the Wildcats.

The puck drops for all games at 7:05 p.m.

After starting the season 3-9-2, they've gone 6-5-0 to climb out of the South Division cellar with 20 points in 27 games. They lead New Mexico by two points, having played two fewer games.

Wichita Falls trails Odessa and Corpus Christi for the fourth and final playoff spot in the division by four points. Those two teams are tied with 24 points, though Corpus Christi has played two fewer games than both Odessa and the Wildcats.

Amarillo leads the South with 50 points in 30 games, while Texas has 44 points in the same number of games. Topeka sits third with 38 points in 30 games.
