Man Accused Of Killing His Mother Sentenced

A Burkburnett man pleaded guilty to killing his elderly mother.

Burk police said 63-year-old Tommy Ray Morrow called police back in April, saying he thought his mother passed away.

Officers on scene say they found his 81-year-old mother with lacerations to her wrists and neck and stab wounds to her chest.

Officers immediately suspected Morrow because there were no signs of forced entry into the home. Also, because he called officers last March to learn whether a person can be buried by a friend just digging a hole and putting them in it.

The court accepted his plea and sentenced him to 20 years in prison.
