A SWAT Situation In Wichita Co. Ends With A Man In Custody

A man is in custody facing charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, family violence.

The Wichita County Sheriff's Office was called to the 8800 block of FM 368 north at about 10:30 Wednesday night.

Officials told Newschannel 6 that an intoxicated man was holding a loaded 45 automatic against the head of a 23 year old man.

The victim and two witnesses told deputies that a female and ten-year-old twins were in the trailer with the suspect.

Law enforcement called in SWAT to execute a plan to prompt the suspect to surrender. Their plan was successful and the suspect surrendered.

No one was hurt during the incident.

Officials confiscated a 12 gauge shotgun, 410 shotgun and a 22 rifle, along with the loaded 45 automatic.
