HS Basketball Scores from Thursday, January 5th

Petrolia Beats WF H.E.A.T.

The Petrolia Pirates will head into district play with a win.

They defeated the Wichita Falls H.E.A.T. Home School team 46-25 Thursday night at home in non-district action.

The Pirates scored the first eight points of the game, and pulled away from there.

Petrolia will begin District 10-A play Friday night at Electra.

The H.E.A.T. Wildcats will visit Woodson Friday night.

Burkburnett Knocks Off Prosper

The 4th-ranked Burkburnett Bulldogs took a road win at Prosper, beating the Eagles 66-63 Thursday night.

Mario Garcia led a balanced Bulldog attack with 13 points, while Tyler Clement and Elijah Strickland added a dozen points each.

The Bulldogs (17-3) also play Friday night in the Metroplex, taking on #14 Dallas Madison at the Loos Fieldhouse in Addison. It's their final tuneup before opening District 6-3A play at home next Friday night against Iowa Park.
