Texoma Man Applies For A Court Appointed Attorney

A Texoma man has applied for a court appointed lawyer Friday morning.

David Shipman was charged with abandoning/endangering a child.

Police say a nine and four year old answered the door, when they responded to a disturbance call in the 1600 block of Bell in September.

Officers then ended up speaking with Lisa Egerton who said she was fighting with Shipman over drugs.

She admitted to police they used meth and cocaine in the house while the children were there.

Shipman had a hearing Friday to determine if he was fit represent himself.
