Two Texoma Hoops Teams Join TABC Poll

Two new Texoma teams joined the TABC TexPreps HS basketball poll for the week of January 9th.

The Crowell Lady Wildcats rejoined the Class A Division II poll for the first time since the week of December 5th, sitting at number 20, while the Hirschi Huskies reached the state rankings for the first time this season, with a 21st-place showing in Class 3A.

The rest of the teams stayed largely the same, with a few small moves.

The other girls' team in the poll, the Rider Lady Raiders, moved up four spots to number 12 in Class 4A after beating The Colony on Friday.

On the boys' side, Burkburnett fell from No. 4 to No. 8 after a 1-1 road trip to the Metroplex, defeating Prosper but falling big to then-No. 14 Dallas Madison, who moved up to 5th this week.

In Class 2A Holliday fell two spots from 10th to 12th after a loss at Nocona on Tuesday.

In 1A Division I, Olney moved up another spot to #7, while Seymour held steady at 19th.

In 1A Division II, Throckmorton remained the 4th-ranked team in the poll.
