Pawn Shop Robber Gets 60 Years in Prison

A masked man who attempted to rob the Quick-N-Easy Pawn shop on Kemp Boulevard in May has been sentenced to 60 years in prison.

Abbott Joseph Uranga, 18, pleaded guilty to aggravated robbery and was sentenced Friday in 30th District Court to 60 years. Police said Uranga went into the pawn shop on May 3, flashed a gun and demanded money. The store owner fired shots at Uranga as he ran out. Police arrested Uranga six weeks later.
