Wichita County Man Pleads Guilty To Drug Charges

A Texoma man pleaded guilty on two charges at the Wichita County courthouse Friday.

Michael Almanza received a 10 year sentence on possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute charge and a 2 year sentence on evading arrest charge.

Wichita County Sheriff's deputies stopped Almanza in March 2010 during a traffic stop in the 2300 block of Jacksboro Highway.

Deputies asked what was in the baggie at his feet. Almanza said it was cocaine and told deputies there were more drugs in the air vents of the vehicle.

Deputies said he admitted to having more drugs at his house. Deputies found 15 grams of cocaine.
