WFISD To Join State Funding Lawsuit

The Wichita Falls Independent School District Board of Regents voted unanimously to join other school districts in Texas in a class action lawsuit on Monday night.

The lawsuit stems over the $4-billion in state funding cuts that were made to public schools in the last Texas legislative session. The lawsuit is claming that lawmakers violated the Texas constitution in making those cuts.
