Seymour's Smart Leaving For New Gig

Seymour head football coach Rocky Smart has accepted the head coaching and athletic director position at his alma mater, Clyde High School.

The 1994 Clyde graduate says he looks forward to giving back to the community that supported him in high school.

Smart led the Panthers to the playoffs in each of his three seasons as head coach, compiling a 27-11 record.

He says the opportunity to return to his hometown was the only scenario that would make him think about leaving Seymour.

Smart says he enjoyed watching the Panthers work hard every year, and that his family enjoyed their time in Seymour.

The school will be conducting interviews to fill the position, hoping to fill the position by the end of February.
