A Texoma city was working Wednesday to get water again.
Mayor Gary Newsom Sr. says a 14 inch water main line broke North and West of downtown a little after 12 p.m. Wednesday. The water is cut off from Greenbelt Water Authority.
Repair crews from Dallas were assisting City of Quanah crews Wednesday night. They expected to have the water flowing again by midnight.
Quanah City Councilwoman Amanda Welborn said it was a big hassle. "It has affected the schools. It has affected the hospitals, its affected each individual household. You have no running water which means no toilets, no washing dishes - no any kind of water, whatsoever," she said.
