Official Rules and Regulations

 

From February 5, 2012 through February 29, 2012 Newschannel 6 will be giving a 42 Inch HDTV to the 6th caller who correctly identifies the contest word - Sunday through Thursday night during the 10-1035pm newscast.

How the contest works:

On contest nights, a word will be graphically displayed on the screen during the Newschannel 6  10-1035PM Newscast.

Once displayed, contestants must call Newschannel 6  at 322-6977. Non local calls must use 940 area code.   

If the 6th caller can correctly identify the displayed word they will be declared the winner.

If the 6th caller does not correctly identify the word, the first caller following the 6th caller who correctly identifies the word or phrase will be the winner.

Rules:

Any determination as to the type of HD TV given away will be the sole responsibility of KAUZ-TV.

KAUZ-TV's sole responsibility during the contest will be to provide an HD TV.

The determination as to who the 6th caller is will be determined solely by KAUZ-TV.

Contestants must be 18 years or older to win.

KAUZ-TV is not responsible for taxes, maintenance, warranties or any other issue in connection with awarding the prize.

Contest Winners will receive a 1099 Form and must fill out a W-9 Form when picking up the prize.

Winners must provide proof of identity in order to determine eligibility and a picture ID must be provided when the prize is picked up and the winner agrees to allow KAUZ-TV to photo-copy requested materials.

Contest winners must sign for the prize when it is picked up and provide any information requested.

Prize must be picked up within one week of a contestant's win.

Prizes can only be picked up from 8A to 5P Monday thru Friday during regular business hours.

Employees of KAUZ-TV and its entities and their families are not eligible to win.

No purchase is necessary, void where prohibited.

By entering the contest you release all rights for KAUZ-TV and its sponsors to use your name and likeness for promotional purposes without compensation of any kind.

Prize may not be exchanged for cash.

KAUZ-TV is not responsible for lost, late, forged, mass produced or mass-transmitted, misdirected, mutilated, incomplete or illegible entries and such entries are void: telephone, electronic hardware or software program, network, internet or computer malfunctions, failures or difficulties, errors or failures in transmission or reception, and any condition caused by events beyond the control of KAUZ-TV which may cause the contest to be disrupted or corrupted.

KAUZ-TV, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process or who may otherwise be in violation of the rules of the contest.

KAUZ-TV reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify any portion of the contest as planned including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention or technical failures of any sort.

Rules may be changed by KAUZ-TV at any time throughout the contest.

Limitation of Liability: By entering this contest, each contestant forever discharges and releases KAUZ-TV, its parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, and their respective directors, officers, employees, and agents from any and all liability, claims, causes of action, suits and demands of any kind arising from or in connection with the promotion, including, without limitation, responsibility for property damage, loss of like, or personal injury resulting from or in connection with participating in the contest or from or on connection with use or receipt of the prize, however caused.

 

Sponsors Reservation of Rights: These official rules are subject to modification by KAUZ-TV. In the event of a dispute, all decisions made by KAUZ-TV are final and binding.  KAUZ-TV reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify this contest if, for any  reason, the contest is not capable of completion as planned, including due to infection by computer virus, technical corruption, force majeure, or non authorized human intervention that compromises or affects the administration, fairness, integrity, security, or proper conduct of the promotion.
