WF City Officials and Residents Discuss Realignment Project

Wichita Falls residents met with Mayor Glenn Barham and District One Michael Smith in a town hall meeting Tuesday night.

They discussed the Rhea Road and Lawrence Road realignment project.

In January, we first told you the city was tearing down the old Strategic Realtors building and make Lawrence Road go right through it.

The move will make Lawrence Road realign with Rhea Road. The goal is to help traffic flow.

Director of Public Works Russell Shreiber is excited about the project. "During peak rush hour it causes traffic to Back up on Callfield all the way to Kemp, the second biggest intersection, so we do believe that if all fares out this realignment will dramatically reduce traffic in those areas."
