City Of Wichita Falls Spending More Than $105,000 On Golf Course

More than $105,000 tax payer dollars are heading to the Champions Golf Course at Weeks Park in Wichita Falls.

The Wichita Falls City council unanimously approved the measure.

The funds will be used for three projects:

-Renovate the 16th green.

-Renovate several course bunkers.

-Add a chipping green.

Councilors also approved spending $65,000 to purchase the course's fleet of leased golf carts.

The city said buying the carts will save the course around $30,000.
