Faith Mission Sex Assault Fended Off

A woman fended off a sexual assault last night at Faith Mission.

The call came in at 7:45 that a black man in his mid-50s attempted to sexually assault a woman while she was walking in an alley near the mission.

When the suspect grabbed the woman's breasts and genital area over her clothes, she hit him, and when he tried to pull down her pants she kicked him. The woman then ran in to the mission.

The man was not known to the Faith Mission staff.
